Stop phone calls from politicians!

British political parties often use the telephone to contact voters during election campaigns. We are concerned that the UK will follow trends that we see in the United States, where voters living in marginal areas can receive many calls a day, often with recorded messages (‘RoboCalls’).

We commissioned MORI to carry out a poll in the UK asking people whether they were happy to receive political RoboCalls, and - unsurprisingly - 75% of people said that they weren’t. Despite the public dislike of these calls, the political parties in the UK have become more active, testing and even breaching the limits of the law.

We want to prevent American style political calls reaching the UK, so we have created a free Political ‘Do not call’ list – a register of people who don’t want to receive these sorts of call – and we are asking the political parties to respect the Political Call Register when they carry out their campaigning for the forthcoming General Election.

If you don’t want to receive calls from political parties then sign up now, and let’s see whether they will respect our wishes not to be disturbed by unwanted phone calls!

The Political Call Register is provided by trueCall Ltd. trueCall is a small device you can plug into your phone at home to block all sorts of unwanted phone call.
